BERTRAND -- Funeral service for Lawrence Lewis Sr. of Bertrand will be held at 1 p.m. today at Cornerstone General Baptist Church. The Rev. Jim Romine and Jeffrey Vaughn will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 9-11:30 a.m. today.
Lewis, 69 years old, died Tuesday, March 5, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born April 15, 1921, at Clarkton, son of Elmer and Gertrude Baker Lewis. He and the former Faye Ellis were married May 25, 1973.
Lewis worked for Heaton Farms until retiring. He moved to Bertrand four years ago, and was a member of Cornerstone Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ronald and Jim Lewis of Holcomb, Lawrence Lewis Jr. of the home; three daughters, Rosemary Fuller and Gayla Pike of Kennett, Pat Todd of Campbell; two stepsons, David Crosier of Bertrand, Robert Crosier of Diehlstadt; a foster daughter, Felicia Russell of East Prairie; two brothers, Robert Lewis of Atoka, Tenn., Richard Lewis of Clarkton; two sisters, Audrey Todd of Malden, Helen Pipkins of Flint, Mich.; 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
