PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Lawrence H. Finger, 84, of Perryville died Friday, Oct. 20, 2000, at the Perry County Nursing Home.
He was born Nov. 28, 1915, in Denver, Iowa, son of Hugo and Bertha Hein Finger. He and Anna Clements were married Oct. 4, 1947.
He was a pasteurizer at a cheese plant. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Perryville, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post 133 and retired from 20 years service in the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Roy Finger of Perryville; a daughter, Linda Caldwell of St. Louis; three brothers, Otto Finger of Casa Grande, Ariz., Arlen Finger of Chanhassin, Minn., and Norman Finger of Manchester, Iowa; a half brother, Claiborne Finger of Larimore, N.D.; two half sisters, Vera Randall of Maquaketa, Iowa, and Delores McFadd of Camden, Del.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister, a brother and a grandson.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today and from 6:30 a.m. until the time of services Monday at Young & Sons Chapel in Perryville.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
