Lawrence Brucker

Lawrence Ambrose Brucker, 91, of Delta passed away Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, at SoutheastHEALTH in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 6, 1924, in Perkins, Missouri, to the late Ambrose and Frances Rose Kirchdoerfer Brucker. Lawrence married Betty Quade on Aug. 27, 1949, and she survives.

He was a retired self-employed farmer and member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, Missouri.

Survivors include his wife, Betty of the home; three daughters, Cheryl (Richard) Scheffer of Gordonville, Nancy (David) Hester of Delta and Mary Pruitt of Delta; six grandchildren, Tammy Livingston of Cape Girardeau, Chris (Lisa) Scheffer of Gordonville, Nicole Scheffer of Gordonville, Myra (Eric) Schwartz of Rockview, Missouri, Amanda (Adam) Farmer of Tilsit and Robert (Kim) Pruitt of Jackson; 12 great-grandchildren, Cody, Jordan and Grady Livingston, Dyllan and Colton Scheffer, Hailey, Caleb and Chloe Farmer, Josie, Alexander and Corbin Schwartz and Ally Pruitt; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Cook and Jessie Quade; and one brother-in-law, Richard Morgan.

Lawrence also was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Ghia Hester; one great-granddaughter, Aaliey Schwartz; a son-in-law, Scott Pruitt; two brothers; and three sisters.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, with parish prayers at 4 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee.

The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Frdiay at the church, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
