McGEE, Mo. -- Lawatta Walk, 80, of McGee passed away Monday, June 29, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 27, 1928, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of John and Lillian Evans Davis.
Lawatta was a 1947 graduate of Advance High School. She had been a member of Shady Dell General Baptist Church, Abernathy Chapel and Bright Prospect Church.
Lawatta and Cloud Walk were married May 10, 1947, in Corning, Ark.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Wayne and Ronnie Walk of McGee, Jeff Walk of Puxico, Mo.; a daughter, Shelba Turner of Jackson; a brother, Johnny Davis of Kingsport, Tenn.; a sister, Nedra Dobbs of Springfield, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, a great-grandson, a brother and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Larry Underwood and Jerry London officiating. Burial will be in McGee New Hope Cemetery.
