SCOTT CITY -- Lavon Tessie Wooten, 66, of Scott City, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Dec. 13, 1925, in Wayne County, Tenn., daughter of Sam and Oma Taylor Linville. She married Glenn V. Wooten Jan. 29, 1946, in Florence, Ala.
Wooten had worked at T.J.'s Manufacturing Store in Florence. She had lived here two years, and attended the General Baptist Church here.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bill Wooten of Jackson, Bobby Wooten of Scott City; her mother of Florence; two brothers, J.W. and Sammy Liville of Florence; five sisters, Dorothy Blackstock and Frances Bryson of Florence, Ruth O'Bryant of Sheffield, Ala., Joyce Hunter of Anniston, Ala., Iva Braswell of Birmingham, Ala., and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City.
The body will then be taken to Greenview Memorial Chapel in Florence, where friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Greenview Chapel. The Rev. Henry Melton will officiate, with burial in Railroad Cemetery in Wayne County.
