Lavina W. Rellergert, 88, of Jackson died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Monticello House.
She was born June 20, 1922, in Old Appleton, daughter of August and Louise Trapp Rellergert.
Lavina was a housekeeper at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek, Mo., from 1951 to 1967, and then at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau from 1967 to 1984. She had previously been a nurse's aide at St. John's Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. She had also worked at the brewery in Old Appleton.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.
Survivors include three brothers, Herb (Mary) Rellergert of Cape Girardeau, Edmund (Betty) Rellergert of St. Louis, Edgar (Marilyn) Rellergert of Jackson; a sister, Helen (Bob) Stroder of Cape Girardeau; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Matilda and Rudy Buchheit; a niece, Vickie Tallman; and a great-nephew, Timothy Tallman.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. John Harth officiating. A graveside committal service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Michael Cemetery in Apple Creek.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
