BRAZEAU -- Laverne Turner, 59, of Brazeau, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 27, 1934, in Fifty-Six, Ark., son of Jack and Edna Deatherage Turner. He and Dorothy F. Ehlers were married July 14, 1956.
Turner was a heavy equipment operator in construction.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Larry Turner of Ridge Crest, Calif., David Turner of Kansas City, James Turner of Perryville, Tim Turner of Ste. Genevieve; two daughters, Sandy Taylor of Odessa, Texas, Tina Habeck of Brazeau; a brother, Oris Turner of Grand Tower, Ill., Rosella Wilson of Wittenberg, and 16 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg. The Rev. David Peiplow will officiate, with burial in the Presbyterian Cemetery at Brazeau.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. today, and after 6:30 a.m. Sunday.
