OAK RIDGE -- Laverne R. Schreiner, 53, of Oak Ridge died Thursday, Aug. 20, 1998, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born March 3, 1945, at Pocahontas, daughter of Carl and Bertha Walther Koeberl. She and Jerry M. Schreiner were married Aug. 28, 1965.
Schreiner was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church at Pocahontas, Lutheran League, was a Sunday School and Bible School teacher, held several offices in WELCA, and was active in the women's Bible study. She was a Daisy 4-H Club leader, and member of Missouri Regional Medical Management Corp.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Cary and Chris Schreiner of St. Louis; a daughter, Cheryl Venable of Eden Prairie, Minn.; and her parents of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Church, with the Revs. John Kiehl, Albert Nyland and Ron Bollinger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
