LaVerne Krone

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- LaVerne M. Krone, 84, of Perryville died Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at 9:23 p.m. at Perry Oaks Manor in Perryville.

She was born Jan. 22, 1922, in St. Louis, daughter of Martin J. and Edna A. Chambers Schwerzler. LaVerne and Robert T. Krone were married Oct. 18, 1941. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973.

Krone was a homemaker, vocalist, and artist. She was an elder and member of the choir of First Presbyterian Church of Perryville, and a member of Perry Art Guild.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen M. Hall and husband Brant of Silver Lake, Mo.; a son, Robert T. Krone Jr. and wife Joanna of Cape Girardeau; a granddaughter, Laura J. Shelton and husband Rodney; and two great-grandsons, Jacob H. Shelton and Levi W. Shelton of Jackson.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Home, and Saturday from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church of Perryville, with the Rev. Craig King officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.

As an option, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association and Alzheimer's Association.
