DEXTER, Mo. -- Funeral for Lavern Louise Triplett of Dexter will be held at 2 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Revs. Willard VanBibber and Eddie Dunivan will officiate. Burial will be in Triplett Cemetery near Dexter.
Triplett, 71, died Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 8, 1929, at Dexter, daughter of Frank and Mildred Proffer Casey. She and William Opel Triplett were married Oct. 18, 1957, at Dexter. He died Feb. 16, 1993.
A longtime resident of Essex, Mo., she had lived at Dexter in recent years. She retired from International Shoe Co. She was a member of New Hope (Trotter) General Baptist Church and Trotter Extension Club.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Casey; a daughter, Helen Brown; two sisters, Alberta Henderson and Gladys Sting, all of Dexter; two granddaughters; and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
