Funeral for Lavada Gosnell Vincent of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. David Pringle will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Vincent, 85, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born June 15, 1914, in Thebes, Ill., daughter of George W. and Anna Elizabeth Thompson Harvell. She and Clarence Gosnell were married in Jackson. He preceded her in death.
Vincent operated Vincent Boarding Home 15 years, and had been a foster parent.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Spalding; an adopted daughter, Teresa Fulford; a foster daughter, Charlotte Arthur, all of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother, and three sisters.
