Laura W. Rilo, 98, of Jackson passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 7, 1913, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of David and Ollie Miller Williams. She and Joseph Rilo were married July 6, 1940, in New York City. He passed away Nov. 11, 1972.
Laura and her husband lived in New York until Joseph's retirement, at which time they moved to St. Louis. After Joe's death in 1972, Laura moved to Jackson to be near family. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson 30 years.
Loving survivors include a nephew, Robert (Mary) Dumey of Jackson; two great-nephews, Mike (Betsy) Dumey of Cape Girardeau, Mark (Laura) Dumey of Jackson; their mother, Winnie Dumey of Jackson; two great-nieces, the Rev. Karen Dumey of Jackson, Shirlie (Tom) Wright of Union, Mo.; and a stepson, Jose Rilo of La Coruna, Spain.
She was preceded in death by a brother; two sisters; and a nephew, Ralph Dumey.
Friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, with Monsignor Ed Eftink officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be made to Immaculate Conception Building Fund.
