SIKESTON -- Laura I. Cannon, 93, of Sikeston, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Nov. 14, 1900, in Kentucky. She and Talton Thomas Cannon were married in 1919 in Kentucky. He preceded her in death May 27, 1976...

SIKESTON -- Laura I. Cannon, 93, of Sikeston, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 14, 1900, in Kentucky. She and Talton Thomas Cannon were married in 1919 in Kentucky. He preceded her in death May 27, 1976.

Cannon moved here 20 years ago from Kentucky. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include a daughter, Regina Miner of Sikeston, and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, brother and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Preston Palmer will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
