MURPHYSBORO, Ill. -- Laura G. Penrod Williamson, 95, of Murphysboro, died Thursday, March 2, 1995, at Jackson County Nursing Home in Murphysboro.
She was born May 13, 1895, at Levan Township in Illinois, daughter of William and Lucretia Butz Graff.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church at Murphysboro, where she formerly was a Sunday school teacher and member of the Missionary Circle.
She married George W. Penrod on Oct. 24, 1913, in Murphysboro. He preceded her in death in 1957. She married Leonard Williamson in 1968 at Murphysboro. He preceded her in death in 1972.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel G. Penrod of Cape Girardeau and George O. Penrod of Portland, Ore.; two daughters, Celestine Yates of Murphysboro and Doris Bloodworth, El Cajon, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Prudy Huppert, one grandson and two sisters.
Service will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Pettett Funeral Home in Murphysboro, with the Rev. Raymond Hellener officiating. Burial will be in Mount Joy Cemetery at Murphysboro.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 10 a.m. until the funeral.
