CHAFFEE -- Funeral for Gladys LaRue Chapman of Chaffee will be held at 2 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Watis Harrell will officiate. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park at Advance.
Chapman, 82, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 18, 1917, at Bloomfield, daughter of Richard and Eunice Kidd Scism. She and Billy S. Chapman were married April 6, 1938.
Chapman had been a housekeeper for Montgomery Mobile Homes at Blomeyer and Cape Girardeau. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Norman Chapman of Cape Girardeau, Kenneth Chapman of Gordonville, Larry Chapman of Bridgeton; two daughters, Margaret Heuring of New Hamburg, Sharon Bowen of Gordonville; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two grandchildren, three brothers, and three sisters.
