GODFREY, Ill. -- Larry Wooldridge, 69, of Godfrey died in his winter home in California on Feb. 8, 2012.
From 1993 until his retirement, he managed the Owens-Illinois plant in Godfrey; however, his career included working on the space program with NASA Jet Propulsion Labs, plant manager of General Dynamics and vice president of Air Craft Gear Corps of Chicago.
He was an inventor, a sailor, a photographer, an avid fisherman, a computer geek and a regular on eBay and Craigslist.
He graduated from Benton, Mo., High School in 1958.
He was dedicated to his family: his wife, Lennie, of 46 years; his three children, Kyle, Andrea, and Mason, Mason's wife Meghan; and his four grandchildren, Noelle, Katie, Gus and Lincoln.
He is survived by his parents, Harold and Verla Wooldridge of Benton.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Gent Funeral Home in Alton, Ill.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
