Larry Dallas "Deeds" Niswonger, 62, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at Fountainbleau Lodge. He was born Aug. 13, 1937, in Cape Girardeau, son of Pinkston and Ella Welker Niswonger. Niswonger had been a welder, and also an antique dealer. He was a country and western musician in the 1960s and early 1970s, and a music writer. Larry Dallas "Deeds" Niswonger, 62, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at Fountainbleau Lodge.

He was born Aug. 13, 1937, in Cape Girardeau, son of Pinkston and Ella Welker Niswonger.

Niswonger had been a welder, and also an antique dealer. He was a country and western musician in the 1960s and early 1970s, and a music writer. In his early life he was in Boy Scouts and played on various sports teams.

Survivors include a son, Larry Don Niswonger of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Cindy August of St. Louis, Lisa Long of Auburndale, Fla.; a brother, Gary Niswonger of Jackson; two sisters, Faye Schreiner of Cape Girardeau, Belle Litzelfelner of Jackson; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Charles Newell officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
