Larry David Miller, 61, of Tucson, Ariz., died Thursday, June 21, 2007, of colon cancer. He was comforted by his wife and two sons at his side.
He was born April 29, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, son of Homer D. and Marie K. Miller. He and Debra Mosby were married in 1972.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Miller; two sons, Jeffrey and Chad; a daughter, Emily; five brothers, Vernon, Gerald, Joseph, Dennis and Wayne; and a sister, Linda.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Lee Miller.
Formerly of McClure, Ill., he received a bachelor of science degree in agriculture from Southern Illinois University. He served with the U.S. Army in Germany from 1969 to 1971.
Larry will be remembered by his family and many friends for his devotion to his family, work and Christian faith.
Larry invested 35 years in the agricultural industry, where he excelled as a marketing management and product development specialist with several major international agricultural chemical companies. His final position prior to retirement was general manager of Canton Group LLC in Yuma, Ariz.
In the many cities where they lived, Larry and Debra were active in church leadership and music. Larry was a member of Rincon Mountain Presbyterian Church in Tucson.
His entertaining humor, landscaping knowledge and beautiful photography were appreciated by his family, friends and associates.
A memorial service was held Aug. 4 at Rincon Mountain Presbyterian Church.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 20 at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure, with the Rev. Philip Miller officiating.
