ADVANCE, Mo. -- Larry Wayne Mier, 66, of Advance died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 27, 1938, at Randles, son of Landon and Jewell Sheets Mier. He and Hester Putney were married Sept. 19, 1958, at Dexter, Mo.
Mier was a 1958 graduate of Delta High School. He was a retired truck driver, and a member of Owner/Operators Independent Driver Association.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Scott Mier of Fredericktown, Mo., Gary Mier of Advance; a daughter, Nelda Livingston of Advance; three brothers, Mike Mier of Houston, Texas, Jim Mier of Friedheim, Frank Mier of St. Charles, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. J.D. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Friend Cemetery at Oran, Mo.
