ADVANCE, Mo. -- Funeral for Larry E. Mayo of Advance will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral Home. The Rev. Syd Maness will officiate. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery at Dexter, Mo.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:30-8 p.m. today.
Mayo, 55, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, at his home.
He was born Oct. 22, 1945, at Bloomfield, Mo., son of Clint and Georgia Bollinger Mayo.
Mayo was a self-employed body shop repairman, and formerly worked at Fisher Body in St. Louis. He was a member of Advance Eagles Aerie.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include a son, Charles Mayo of Advance; two daughters, Julie Delay of Advance, Rachel Mayo of Campbell, Mo.; two brothers, Bob Mayo of Advance, Harold Mayo of Jonesboro, Ill.; a sister, Linda York of Campbell; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and two sisters.
