BUTNER, N.C. -- Larry W. Mayberry passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, in Butner, at the age of 62 years, nine months and 14 days.
He was born in Fisk, Mo., on April 24, 1947, the son of the late Lonnie and Mildred Tucker Mayberry. He owned and operated a sawmill in the Annapolis, Mo., area for many years. He was a longtime member of the Hopewell Mason Lodge 239 at Lesterville, Mo.
He is survived by one son, Michael Mayberry and his wife, Holly, of Annapolis; two daughters, Patti Shelby and her husband, Marty, of Zalma, Mo., Beverly Peters and her husband, David, of Marble Hill, Mo.; five sisters, Marlene Schanks of Lowndes, Mo., Betty Koyle of Zalma, Barbara Niedner of Eolia, Mo., Brenda Lineberry of O'Fallon, Mo., and Micky Bailey of Puxico, Mo.; three brothers, Jim, Roger and Bob Mayberry, all of Zalma; and four grandchildren, Cody Shelby, Taylor Mayberry, Cole Shelby and Dawson Peters.
The funeral was held Saturday at Happy Zion Baptist Church in Annapolis, with interment in Annapolis Cemetery under the direction of Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel in Piedmont, Mo.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
