Larry William Mantz, 64, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at his home.

He was born Oct. 14, 1943, in Jackson, son of Bill and Hilda Koechig Mantz. He and Deloris Price were married Nov. 20, 1970, in Jackson.

He attended Jackson High School. Mantz was a truck driver for 28 years for Mid-South Steel.

He is survived by his wife of Cape Girardeau; two sons, James Ward of Cape Girardeau and Frank Ward of Jackson; two brothers, Roy Mantz and Steve Mantz, both of Jackson; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steven Sanders officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
