Larry B. Jansen, 73, of Jackson passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022, surrounded by his family at the Chateau Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 5, 1949, in Cape Girardeau to the late Leon and Bernice Dirnberger Jansen. He married Loretta Ford Dec. 27, 1969, at Old St. Vincent's Church in Cape Girardeau. They shared 52 years together.

Larry was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and proudly served in the Navy Reserves.

Larry was a 52-year and very active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

He previously owned Jaymac Equipment Corp. and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1111.

He loved to ride the trails, camp out and tend to the horses alongside his wife, Loretta.

Loving survivors include his wife, Loretta of Jackson; son, Ben Jansen of Sedgewickville, Missouri; brothers, Jerry (Linda) Jansen of Jackson and Jim Jansen (Stacy, Jim's former bride) of St. Louis; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leonard Jansen; and his wife, Joyce.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Rick Jones officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
