SCOTT CITY -- Funeral service for Larry Joseph Miget of Scott City will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Christian Faith Fellowship in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Mark Carbaugh will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson, with graveside rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. today.

Miget, 38, died Saturday, July 30, 1994, at John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born March 20, 1956, at Sikeston, son of V.J. and Dora Tisher Miget. He and Patricia Hollingshead were married July 7, 1993, in Scott City.

He graduated from Jackson High School in 1974, and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1974-76. He then worked eight years at Missouri Dry Dock and Repair Co.

Miget had owned and operated Miget Service Co. in Cape Girardeau since 1987. He was a member of Christian Faith Fellowship, a home fellowship leader and active in the children's ministry at the church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Scott Miget of Jackson; a daughter, Stacy Miget of Jackson; his mother of Ft. Collins, Colo.; a brother, Steven Miget of Ft. Collins; three sisters, Sherry Whaley of Cape Girardeau, Nancy Miget of Houston, Texas, and Karen Mangrum of Denver, Colo.
