Larry Francis Gray, 77, of Alton, Ill., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Alton Memorial Hospital. He was born July 15, 1936, in Cape Girardeau, to Lyman Woodrow Nations and Sadie Lula Gray. Larry graduated from Notre Dame High School. He coached basketball many years at St. Vincent's School. He was an automotive technician at Nation Brothers in Cape Girardeau from 1980 to 1990 and at General Auto Electric in Wood River, Ill., from 1990 to 1997...

Larry Francis Gray, 77, of Alton, Ill., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Alton Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 15, 1936, in Cape Girardeau, to Lyman Woodrow Nations and Sadie Lula Gray.

He served in the 1140th Infantry of Missouri National Guard.

Larry is survived by a niece, two nephews, numerous great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews, several cousins and many friends.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Chris Clifton officiating.
