ORAN, Mo. -- Larry Dale Gadberry, 70, of Oran passed away Friday, March 24, 2017, at his family home.
He was born July 14, 1946, in Russellville, Arkansas, to the late William and Minnie Terry Gadberry.
Larry was a retired riverboat assistant engineer with Marquette Transportation in Cairo, Illinois. He was in the United States Army, serving in Germany and Spain.
Survivors include three sons, Wesley (Rhonda) Gadberry of Bowling Green, Kentucky, David Gadberry of Warrenton, Missouri, Joseph Chaney of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; a brother, Terry (Pamela) Gadberry of Oran; two sisters, Linda Simpson of Oran and Judy (Eugene) Magee of Sikeston, Missouri; two granddaughters, Georgia Gadberry of Bowling Green and Gabrielle Gadberry of Warrenton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until time of service Tuesday Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Robert Smithey officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with full military honors.
