LARRY G. YARBRO

Larry G. Yarbro, 57, 1924 College, died Sunday, May 14, 1995, at his home.

He was born Feb 1, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, son of Louis "Doc" and Lois May Yarbro. He and Donna King were married April 29, 1961.

Yarbro moved to Cape Girardeau in 1962 from Chaffee. He had worked at Buckstein's Garment in Chaffee, which is now Thorngate Ltd.

He also was in the service station business 40 years, having worked at Saveway Oil Co. in Chaffee and Cape Girardeau. He purchased the station at 1410 S. Sprigg in 1981 and renamed it Yarbro Service Station.

Yarbro was a member of Gospel Assembly Church, member and former officer of Eagles 3775.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, Kevin and Larry Don Yarbro of Jackson, Tim Yarbro of Chaffee, Russell and Floyd Yarbro of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Candy Hendricks of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Jimmy Yarbro of Springfield, Ill., Roger Yarbro of Lawrence, Kan.; three sisters, Marilyn Tracy and Francis Fischer of Cape Girardeau, Velda Widdows of Paducah, Ky., and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today. An Eagles service will be held at 7:30.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Winfred Wren officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
