CAIRO, Ill. -- Graveside service for Larry Gene DeWeese of Cairo will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Blandville Cemetery in Blandville, Ky. The Rev. Kelly Cox will officiate.

There is no visitation.

Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge is in charge of arrangements.

DeWeese, 56, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

He was born Nov. 29, 1939, in Cairo, son of Elbert and Willie V. Clark DeWeese.

DeWeese was a retired machinist with Commercial Engineering, and was a former police officer in Cairo. He was a member of Tigert Memorial United Methodist Church and Illinois National Guard.

Survivors include a son, Dane DeWeese of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; a daughter, LeBee DeWeese of New York, N.Y.; five sisters, Lonis Dillworth of Cairo, Ann Butts of Goodlettsville, Tenn., Hazel Tolar of Pulaski, Catherine Kellem of Olathe, Kan., Mary McGuire of Wallingford, Conn., and a brother, Gene DeWeese of Baldwin Park, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter.
