Larry Michael French, 75, of Millersville passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 13, 1945, in Cairo, Illinois, son of Archie Ward and Ruth Marie Graham French. He and Loretta M. Felty were married June 27, 1972.
Larry was a 1963 graduate of Villa Ridge High School in Villa Ridge, Illinois. He joined the Navy in 1964 and was honorably discharged in 1967. Larry supported the U.S. Marine Corps as a civilian convoy lead in Iraq for five years.
Loving survivors include his wife of 50 years; a son, Scott (Faith) French of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Sarah (husband, Josh Dunifon) French of Imperial, Missouri; and a son, Shaun (Kim) French of Fredericksburg, Virginia; six grandchildren, Hunter, Wyatt, Grace and Cole French and Anthony and Kenzie Dunifon; and two sisters, Doris Willhauck of Allentown, Pennsylvania, and Karen French of Sparks, North Virginia.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jerry French, and a sister, Patsy Garza.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jason Myers officiating. A private graveside service with full military honors will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to a donor's charity of choice.
