CANALOU -- Larry V. Drake, 54, of Canalou died Friday, Jan. 19, 1996, at the Auto Express Co. in West Memphis, Ark., of a heart attack.
He was born March 13, 1941, in Canalou, son of the late Grover T. Drake and Helen Bean Drake, who survives of Canalou.
He had been a truck driver for 30 years. For the past two years he worked for the Auto Express in West Memphis. He served in the Army from 1959 to 1961.
On Feb. 23, 1962, in Canalou, he married Gladys R. Johns, who survives.
He is also survived by a son, Gerry Drake of Lake Charles, La.; three daughters, Teresa Couch of Flint, Mich., Tami Rampley of Sikeston and Susan Drake of Canalou; two sisters, Daphna Dorrell of Charleston and Carolyn Graham of Republic; and four grandchildren.
Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Nunnelee Funeral Home in Sikeston.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Revs. Fred Ritter and Mike Cartwright officiating. Burial will be at Matthews Cemetery in Matthews.
