CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Larry T. Dotson, 57, of Southaven, Miss., and formerly of Charleston, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.
He was born Sept. 28, 1943, in Mississippi County, Mo., son of Johnnie Earl and Madeline Johnson Dotson. He and Alice Ann Lankheit were married April 28, 1965.
Dotson lived in Anna, Ill., for 21 years, where he was vice president of sales with the Bunny Bread Company. He moved to Memphis six years ago and was employed with Flowers Baking Co. until his retirement in 1998.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Larry T. Dotson Jr. of Memphis, Daryl Dotson of Nashville, Tenn., and Stephen Dotson of Southaven, Miss.; one daughter, Alicia Neighbors of Mount Vernon, Ill.; one brother, Harris Dotson of San Diego, Calif.; four sisters, Ruth Coyle, Marilyn Rankhorn and Harriet Wiley, all of Nashville, and Laura Sue Dotson of Bertrand, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Friends may call from 5-8 tonight at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Fr. Tom Miller will officiate, with burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston.
