Larry Derossett

WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- Larry Michael "Bucky" Derossett, 59, of Wolf Lake died Monday, July 17, 2006, at his home.

He was born Nov. 17, 1946, in Anna, Ill., son of Everett and Violet Allen Derossett. He and Connie J. Leeson were married Dec. 22, 1979, in Wolf Lake.

Derossett was a farmer and co-owner of Derossett Farms. He was a lifetime member of Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 in Anna.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry Derossett of Wolf Lake; three daughters, Angela Knupp of Jonesboro, Tracy Derossett of Anna, Laura Cozean of Red Bud, Ill.; his mother of Wolf Lake; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, his father, and three brothers.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Cripps officiating. Burial will be in Walker Hill Cemetery at Grand Tower, Ill., with full military honors conducted by VFW Post 3455.
