SIKESTON -- Larry D. Harris, 52, of Sikeston, died Sunday, July 12, 1992 at Wappappello.
He was born March 14, 1940 at Pharris Ridge, Mo., the son of Don E. Harris of Morehouse and the late Opal Jessie Martin Harris.
He was a partner and certified public accountant for the Harris, Clay and Shoemaker firm in Sikeston.
He graduated from Morehouse High School in 1958 and graduated from University of Missouri Columbia School of Accounting in 1962. He was CPA licensed in Missouri, Illinois, Tennessee and Arkansas.
A member of the Missouri Society of CPAs and the Tennessee Society of CPAs, he was also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sikeston, past member and treasurer of Methodist Church Board of Directors, past member of Methodist Men's Club and past member of the Sikeston Chamber of Commerce.
On June 17, 1961 in Sikeston, he married Sue Stout. She survives.
He is also survived by three daughters, Missi Lape, Sikeston, Jodi and Tricia Harris, both of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Judy Townsend, Memphis, Tenn.; and two granddaughters.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston until noon on Wednesday.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles E. Buck, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
