BENTON, Mo. -- Larry Cope, 54, son of Sherley Russell Kelley of Sikeston, Missouri, and the late Vernon Ray Cope, was born June 11, 1967, in St. Louis and departed his life Friday, Jan. 28, 2022, at the Saint Francis Medical Center Emergency Room in Cape Girardeau.
He was the owner and operator of Second Chance Enterprises, a member of the Apostolics of Oran Church, and a resident of Benton.
On June 6, 1986, he was united in marriage to Patricia Sauceda in Morley, Missouri. She survives of the home in Benton.
Besides his wife and mother, survivors include a son, Kendall (Danielle) Cope of Benton; two brother, Donnie (Sarina) Cope and Eddie (Heather) Hamblin, both of Morley; sister Jennifer (James) Hamilton of Oran, Missouri; and three grandchildren, Jase Cope, Kimber Cope and Jordan Webb.
Besides his father, Larry was preceded in death by a daughter, Kaitlyn Cope in 2017.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. today at the Apostolis of Oran Church.
Funeral service will then be at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Brain Flannigian officiating. Interment will follow in the Blodgett (Missouri) Cemetery.
