Charles "Larry" Caldwell, 74, of Scott City died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 8, 1933, at Commerce, Mo., the son of Oscar and Lillian Mae Rasberry Caldwell. He and Nancy Jewell Graves were married June 9, 1962, at Scott City.
Larry was an inspector with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Post 6407 of Scott City.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Suzi (Paul) Dirnberger of Benton, Mo.; and three grandsons, Jordan, Jacob and Jared Dirnberger.
Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Military graveside rites will be in Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce and will be announced at a later date.
The family request donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
