Lakeshia Sharese Lawrence, 9, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, March 1, 1995, at Children's Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Sept. 13, 1985, in Sikeston. Lakeshia Sharese Lawrence, 9, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, March 1, 1995, at Children's Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Sept. 13, 1985, in Sikeston.

Lakeshia was a third grade student at Clippard School. She was a member of Futrell Temple Church of God In Christ, where she was a member of the junior usher board, Sunshine Band, and Brownie Troop 84.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Rose and Jose Parker of Cape Girardeau; grandfather, George Penn of Gary, Ind., and great-grandmother, Elizabeth Douglas of Charleston.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Futrell Church.

Funeral service will be at noon Monday at Opportunity Church of God In Christ at Charleston, with Dr. William Bird Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.

Sparks Funeral Home at Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
