MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Laddie Lee Hickson Sr., 81, of Marble Hill passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 23, 1933, in Cape Girardeau, son of Artie and Alvah Avery Hickson. He and Yvonne Louise Hale were married Dec. 27, 1956.
Laddie was an over-the-road truck driver.
He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Hickson of the home; two sons, Laddie Lee (Karen) Hickson Jr. of Nemo, S.D., and Michael Dewayne (Jenny) Hickson of Hillsboro; a sister, Deloris Saunders of Florissant, Mo.; and six grandchildren, Laddie III, Meghann, Taylor, Jason, Jacob and Mitchel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harry Hickson; and a sister, Mary Mioduszewski.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Balch Chapel Cemetery near Zalma, Mo.
