LaVerne Kieffer Dilallo, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born July 8, 1919, in Evansville, Ill., daughter of George Edward and Barbara Reinhardt Kieffer. She and Ferdinand Dilallo were married May 13, 1938, in St. Louis.
LaVerne worked as a bookkeeper for Union Service Co. and as a cashier at Central Hardware in Wellston, Mo. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1978.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul Ladies Council, Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 3838, and Women's Union Electric Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Sonny Minor of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Harvey Kieffer of Minneapolis, Minn.; three grandchildren, Nick Minor of Cape Girardeau, Michele Tumbleson of Sikeston, Mo., Tina Minor of Seattle, Wash.; two great-grandchildren, Abby Minor of Cape Girardeau and Jacob Tumbleson of Sikeston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Rosalie Dilallo Williams; and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Patrick Keeley will officiate. A chapel service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis.
