BERTRAND, Mo. -- Funeral for La Faye Wicker of Bertrand will be held at 1 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo. The Rev. Dean Wallace will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m.
Wicker, 83, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born May 16, 1918, in Tennessee, son of Robert B. and Jessie Alma Ryan Wicker. He and Levigia Reynolds were married Oct. 10, 1941.
Wicker lived in Mississippi County most of his life, and worked at Brown Shoe Co. 11 years. He also lived in El Centro, Calif., 10 years and worked at Doughitt Steel Yard.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Paul Wicker of Poulsbo, Wash.; a daughter, Marilyn Williams of Benton, Mo.; two sisters, Edna Lee of Houston, Texas, Audrey Eldridge of Yuma, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers, three sisters, and a great-granddaughter.
