JACKSON -- L. June Brown, 89, of Jackson, died Monday, Sept. 11, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 18, 1906, in Greenville, daughter of Merritt and Cordelia Allen Lane. She and Elder Cody Brown were married Dec. 25, 1924. He died Dec. 16, 1992.
The Browns moved to Jackson in 1983 from Scott City. She was a member of New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church at Morehouse.
Survivors include four sons, Russell Brown of Millersville, Cody Brown of Chaffee, Michael Brown of Evansville, Ind., Darrell Brown of Sikeston; five daughters, Imogene Hale and Patsy Harris of Jackson, Shirley Dunivan of Puxico, Mary Marlow of Coulterville, Ill., Peggy Arnett of Sparta, Ill.; two sisters, Dorothy White of Green Valley, Ariz., Ethel Poore of Hohenwald, Tenn.; 24 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sebastian Cemetery west of Fredericktown.
