L. Harris Marshall, 74, of Columbia, died Monday, Feb. 26, 1996, at his home.
He was born Nov. 11, 1921, in Poplar Bluff, son of Sterling and Etna Penelope Marshall. He and Virginia Shepherd were married Oct. 26, 1976, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Marshall was reared in Cape Girardeau. He had lived in Columbia three years.
Marshall was a senior master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He served as an electrical engineer, retiring in 1964 after 22 years of service. He then was a field engineer with Union Oil of Los Angeles until retiring in 1976.
He was a member of Blue Lodge of Advance, and received a 32nd degree from Scottish Rites Lodge in Los Angeles.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Thomas Marshall of California; a brother, Samuel Marshall of Patton, and a sister, Sarah Marshall of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and a stepson.
Funeral service was held at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia.
