PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Kora Martha Keller, 62, of Perryville died Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at her home.
She was born Jan. 13, 1948, in Putlitz, Germany, daughter of Erhard and Eva Ackermann Hinze. She and Wayne M. Keller were married Dec. 31, 1981, in Charleston, S.C.
Keller taught German at Perryville High School, retiring in 2009. She received a bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri State University and a master's degree from Webster College.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church; Beta Lambda chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, a women's educator sorority; and Phi Kappa Phi honor society.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne M. Keller of Perryville; her father, Erhard Hinze of Parchim, Germany; three daughters, Barbara Hinze and Lisa (Doug) Martin of Perryville, Katherine (Jim) Schuchmann of St. Louis; a sister, Evelin (Heiner) Grotstuck of Bremerhaven, Germany; a niece, Nicole Maier of Lichtenstein, Germany; a nephew, Axel Grotstuck of Bremerhaven; five granddaughters, Emily Johnson, Ava Johnson, Lily Johnson, Kora Martin and Elli Martin, all of Perryville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Miller Family Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Church. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.
