VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Kirk C. Bagby, 78, of Villa Ridge, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 1994, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo. He was born Jan. 2, 1916, near Dongola. He married the former Marilea McClellan. Bagby retired as a welder with Chicago Bridge and Iron Co. He was a member of Pulaski-Alexander Counties Sportsmen's Club, and life member of VFW Post 8891. VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Kirk C. Bagby, 78, of Villa Ridge, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 1994, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo.

He was born Jan. 2, 1916, near Dongola. He married the former Marilea McClellan.

Bagby retired as a welder with Chicago Bridge and Iron Co. He was a member of Pulaski-Alexander Counties Sportsmen's Club, and life member of VFW Post 8891. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Rev. Stephen Bagby of Knoxville, Iowa; two brothers, Raymond Bagby of America, Dean Bagby of Cairo, and four grandsons.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
