Kevin VanGilder

Kevin Clark VanGilder, 63, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022, at his home.

He was born May 24, 1959, to Clifford and Violet (Gosnell) VanGilder in Middletown, Ohio.

Kevin worked in management at Procter & Gamble for more than 20 years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, bike riding and making up stories to tell his children and grandchildren.

He was a graduate of University of Kentucky, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Survivors include his son, Ryan (Kristen) VanGilder; three daughters, Jennifer (Carl) Lathum, Macey VanGilder and Bailey VanGilder (fiance, Kobe); two stepdaughters, Jamie Lamburth and Ashley (Justin) Williamson; nine grandchildren, Brooks VanGilder, Blakely VanGilder, Kinsley Lathum, Ella Lathum, Lukas Gantt, Danielle Carter, Byron Carter, Jaylen Carter and Brionna Lamburth; three sisters, Linda Kelley, Janie VanGilder and Carolyn VanGilder; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

A funeral service honoring the life of Kevin VanGilder will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Mark Anderson officiating. Interment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
