CAIRO, Ill. -- Funeral Mass for Kevin Patrick Morgan of Dallas, Texas, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. The Rev. Jerome Fortenberry will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in Mounds.

Barkett Funeral Home at Cairo is in charge of local arrangements.

Morgan, 22, died Sunday, June 1, 1997, in Giddings, Texas, as a result of an automobile accident.

He was born Dec. 3, 1974, in Carbondale, son of Larry and Gloria Dennis Morgan.

Morgan was a 1993 graduate of Pierce High School in Richardson, Texas. He was a senior at Texas A&M University in College Station, majoring in genetics. He was a lab technician at the university, and member of the Texas A&M Science Club.

Survivors include his parents of Dallas; two sisters, Missy and Lisa Morgan of Dallas; and paternal grandmother, Jewel Morgan of Cairo.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and maternal grandparents.
