Kevin C. Mayberry, a beloved athlete and HVAC technician, passed away on Aug. 9, 2024. He leaves behind cherished memories and a loving family. Memorial donations may be made to local pulmonary organizations.

On Friday, Aug. 9, 2024, Kevin C. Mayberry of Jackson passed through the gates of Heaven.

He was born Nov. 30, 1959, in Texas at Fort Hood Army Hospital to Vearl and Sylvia Richey Mayberry, who preceded him in death.

Kevin was a great athlete in his high school and college years. He was selected as a National All American. Kevin loved watching the Denver Broncos and the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved riding dirt bikes and playing league softball in his adult life.

Kevin was an HVAC technician by trade and an energy manager. He served Digital Equipment Corp., Summit County Schools and Southeast Missouri State University.

He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed.

Kevin is survived by his brothers, Sgt. Maj. (Ret.) Keith Mayberry of Killeen, Texas, and Kenny (Janine) Mayberry of Cape Girardeau. He was a proud uncle to Kristin (Mike) Sterrett, Kory (Cassandra) Mayberry, Kameron Mayberry and Kaden Mayberry.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to your local pulmonary organization.

Cozean Memorial Chapel and Crematory in Farmington is in charge of arrangements.
