CYPRESS, Ill. -- Kevin Wayne King, 36, of Cypress died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000, in West Vienna, Ill., in an automobile accident.
He was born March 13, 1964, in Anna, Ill., son of Dean and Evelyn Martin King.
King was a 1982 graduate of Vienna High School. He was a corrections officer at Tamms Correctional Center, and previously worked at Shawnee Correctional Center 14 years.
He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church near Cypress; Illinois Department of Corrections Tactical Unit; AFSCME Council 31, Local 2758 at Tamms Correctional Center and a former union president.
Survivors include three sons, Dustin King of Cypress, Kyle and Kory King of Ozark, Ill.; his parents of Cypress; a brother, Rick King of Vienna; and a sister, Kelly Hoffner of Dongola, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Friends may call at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery near Dongola.
