CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Keven Hailey, 63, of Chaffee died Tuesday, March 6, 2001, at Chaffee Nursing Center. He was born Jan. 2, 1938, at Hayti, Mo., son of George and Aline Hudgins Hailey. He was reared by his mother and stepfather, Raymond Mercer. Hailey had worked at Mercer's IGA and then Graser-Shy Supermarket in Chaffee. He was a member of VFW Post 3127...

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Keven Hailey, 63, of Chaffee died Tuesday, March 6, 2001, at Chaffee Nursing Center.

He was born Jan. 2, 1938, at Hayti, Mo., son of George and Aline Hudgins Hailey. He was reared by his mother and stepfather, Raymond Mercer.

Hailey had worked at Mercer's IGA and then Graser-Shy Supermarket in Chaffee. He was a member of VFW Post 3127.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include two daughters, Lana Rister of Chaffee, Laura Halter of Scott City, Mo.; two brothers, Gerald Hailey of Foristell, Mo., Lindell Hailey of Huntsville, Ala.; two sisters, Barbara Poynter of League City, Texas, Leuia Mager of Las Cruces, N.M.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Watis Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
