JACKSON -- Kermit Alexander Wallenmeyer, 83, of Jackson, died Monday, Nov. 6, 1995, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 1, 1911, at Jamestown, son of John G. and Louise Hertzig Wallenmeyer. He and Miriam Penzel were married Oct. 8, 1938.
Wallenmeyer owned Wallenmeyer Grading and Excavating in Cape Girardeau County many years. He served on Jackson City Council from 1958-62.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and had served as elder, deacon and member of sessions. He was also a member of Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158.
Survivors include his wife; a son Steve Wallenmeyer of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two infant children.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today. An American Legion service will be held at 7:30.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Grant Gillard will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
