Kent Jones

ANNA, Ill. -- Kent Jones, 79, of Anna died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at his home.

He was born April 6, 1928, in Balcom, Ill., son of Cord and Jewel Woodard Jones. He married Barbara Earnhart on Jan. 1, 1976, in Anna.

Jones was a member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Dale Jones of Anna, Roger Jones of Jonesboro, Ill., a daughter, Cheryl Gee of Anna; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, two sisters and a brother.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Roath officiating. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery near Lick Creek, Ill.
